Who is an "Effective Communicator"?
Who is the one who communicates a lot?
Who is the one that shows confidence in speaking?
Who is the one who likes to share?
One who have eye contact??
Who is the one who...

and
have no fear expressing themselves???

I think Lian is an effective learner.

Way to go Lian!!

She fears not to talk to people.
She peaks in a loud and clear voice, although she has a certain accent (sorry to say this Lian > <)... Lian act as a good example of contributing good ideas. It's great to ask question when you misunderstand. All you need to do is ask. Always try even though your answer is a guess. This is a way of learning!!

To Lian (If you see this...):
Well done Lian! It seems like some people said that you are truly a effective communicator!!! Wish you could set more great examples to all of us with the rest of the student outcomes!!! Keep it up~ ^_^

How do you plan to improve one
of the student outcomes?

Our school is all about having us, students, to fully achieve the goal of completing what's considered in the 5 student outcomes. Those outcomes are:
  • Effective Communicator
  • Person of High Character
  • Critical Thinker
  • Community Contributor
  • Active Learner
Of these student outcomes, I plan to improve to be a active learner. Why? Everyday, I slept late. When I come to school, I'm like:

First: At home...
Asleep...

Second: At school...
Sleepy...

Third: After school...

Floating...

Fourth: Back home...
Actually, like during the middle section of school, I'm awake.

Sleepy Bird Source 1, 2, and 3, and 4.

I don't really sleep in class though, because then I would not know what to do for homework...

1. Person of High Character:
- I continued to comfort my friends when they needed me.
- I'll wait for them if they want me to.
- I helped classmates if they have problems with anything (Math, Science, Technology, and
Humanities).

2. Community Contributor:
- There was times that I helped put up some chairs after Wellness.
- I found things in the desk that I was at and either gave it to the teacher or to the owner.

3. Effective Communicator:
- I communicated with people when we played a game in Ms. Smith's classroom.
- I communicated with classmates in order to help them.
- I communicated with my group members about what we should do and how.

During the days in HIS, I've been:
1. A person of character:
- I will comfort people when they are sad.
- Today during Wellness, I helped to pick up the cones and gather the (about 4) soccer balls.
2. A community contributor:
- There was once when I say somebody's empty juice box. I picked it up and threw it in the recycle
bin.
- I contributed my ideas when our class was divide into two, at Language Arts class.
3. A critical thinker:
- Before I do any of the contribution of ideas, I will need to think deeply first and that's what I
did.
- I ask questions if I didn't understand.

Active learner = Yes~ I was ready to learn and see what the steps are needed to be done. No ~ I just sat there, looking tired and staring at the tube for observations that could be written down.
Person of high character = Yes ~ I helped my group members by preparing the goggles and other equipments for them and I also put the things away when our project was finished.
Communicator contributor = Yes ~ I put the things back where they belong after using them. I provided observations I noticed and passed them onto one of my partners, so she can write them down.
Effective communicator = Yeah ~ I communicated with my group to see if we did the right thing and if I missed out something. No ~ When we're about to finish the lab, we just took whatever stuff and put them away, almost not communicating with each other.
Critical thinker = Yes ~ I looked carefully at the tube and see if there's any qualitative observations to write down. I also tried ways on why there was no recording of the temperatures on some people's logger pro. No ~ I didn't think that we need to wear goggles before Ms. Smith told us to because they might harm our eyes.
